I Where to meet singles in atlanta a 35 year old single white male traveling to Atlanta for. "Where to meet singles in atlanta" is a tough one, because of your age.
Really the only entertainment district in Atlanta is " Buckhead ", but that area attracts the younger "party" crowd. If you want to try your luck at landing a 21 year old, then Buckhead is the place to be. If you want a more subdued, matrure crowd, Buckhead is not the place.
Assuming you are a mature professional, your best bet is probably going to be one of the upscale hotel bars, either at the airport, downtown, or midtown. There are pockets of other activities around and in the city, but i would need to know more about what you are into music, hobbies, activities you enjoy before i could recommend a direction.
You can search the internet city guides to find the happenings downtown and around buckhead, but there is alot to do around atlanta. You dont have to share your whole life story, but for instance:. A big Country Music Fan, i would direct you to a country bar may be in the suburbs A specific hobby or interests probably has a unique place that most of the people of that ilk congregate at.
Once again someone incorrectly characterizes Buckhead. The dude is probably right, I may have over-generalized and slammed buckhead a little too hard, as it is a big place, and there is something for everyone. But in general, it is the party district and is dominated by younger people who are cruising or bar-hopping.
If you really meant I want to get lucky with some women while i am in town, then you should probably go to buckhead, because that is where most of the women will be on any given night. I believe a professional man of our age range would do better in one of the nicer hotel bars. But i have been married for a longtime, so I am by no means an expert on picking up women in atlanta -- i would refer you back to the dude if that is your interest.
I don't agree at all that Buckhead is the only entertainment district. All have diverse crowds, mostly young professionals, primarily in their thirties, some with an eclectic streak esp. The Dude and I have debated this issue before but I am not a fan of Buckhead. I do almost all of my shopping there and it has great restaurants. However, its bars are a bit cheesy for my tastes. It's Where to meet singles in atlanta really the trendy place to go anymore but I really don't let trends dictate where I go.
Bluepointe has fantastic food but the bar scene is something else. As with a lot of Buckhead, you will find a lot of people dressing up and trying to look like they have a lot of money hoping to see and be seen.
There are also usually a few high class hookers Where to meet singles in atlanta to score in Bluepointe. I think that in the neighborhoods I mentioned above you will find people of all walks and those with the money are understated. I do like Fado but I never go because there are several better, nicer and less crowded pubs that are closer to midtown where I live - Spotted Dog, Hand in Hand, Prince of Wales.
I've hung out at the bars at the Clubhouse and Prime a few times and they're nice if you are already in the area, obviously full of shoppers.
The Tavern at Phipps is interesting and I used to go a lot when a friend was the bartender. It is a huge meat market for the Buckhead set, which means you will see a lot of thirtiesh women with a lot of plastic surgery wearing a lot of designer clothing. If that's your thing, you'll be in heaven. Also, I don't know much about hotel bars.
I do live near and frequent the Lobby at Twelve, which is a restaurant in Twelve Hotel with a good bar scene. I've been to BED, which I guess is technically a hotel bar. However, on the occasions when I've had drinks at the Ritz both downtown and BuckheadFour Seasons, and Wyndham, the crowds seemed mostly comprised of travelers and were not very happening.
I naturally assumed since the original poster stated he was going to be in Buckhead for business that he would want bars in that area so thats what I listed. I dont necessarily like all of them myself, but thought I'd give the poster as wide of variety as possible. Anyway, of all the bars I listed my favorites of that group would be tin lizzy's and dantanna's. I like the treehouse as well, but it probably Where to meet singles in atlanta be what you are looking for in this situation and it is not in central buckhead.
